DOWN BEAT BLAST UPDATE
This doesn’t even scratch the surface of the changes we’ve made in this update and frankly, there are too many to list. Unfortunately, due to the limitations of an online demo, gamepad support will only be available in the Steam release. We are happy to announce that as of today, the game is fully playable with just about any controller on the market, but will require a little more work to nail down menu navigation. This highly requested feature has come a long way. We have gone on a bug squashing spree with this update to try and limit interruptions to the ideal play experience. The bug reports we’ve been receiving from you, the players, have been invaluable. We’re pretty happy with the result and hope it improves your experience. In addition to all-new enemies in level 3, level 2’s visuals have undergone a considerable rework to make the hive-themed enemies feel more antagonistic. Also the turret powernote has been nerfed, a lot of people commented it was way too strong. We have gotten some feedback that the different boss lasers are needlessly difficult, we haven't changed them yet but are looking into it. Additionally, we’re excited to announce the first half of Level 3! Level three is simply reusing the level 1 boss and miniboss for now, but the base enemies have been implemented and we’re excited to see how you react to them. We’ve heard you and amped up level 2 to involve fewer melee enemies and more projectiles. You know it's hard when it's on the list and starts with a hi-hat. It's got everything: ridiculously fast double bass, the most ignorant lyrics, that good hard groove, the guttural that leads into the next breakdown that sends the mosh live every time. First and foremost, we’ve received a lot of feedback that the game is simply too easy. Aaron (Guitar): It ain't your usual down tempo breakdown but it still goes just as hard.
